You will never see full Gbs speeds over wireless or even wired. 850 mbs down is a realistic, and quite good, speed over wifi for you provided service. You would see a little faster with a wired connection. The up speeds, while not nearly as fast as what your service is supposed to provide, is plenty fast enough for most users as down speeds are more critical for most applications. I would double check your service though as 1 Gbs up and down is unusual. Based on your numbers, your service may actually be 1 Gbs down and 300 Mbs up. Many providers only market based on download speeds as it is the most important to perceived performance.

Hey @Kcal28,
@pcuttle is right, I would be willing to bet that, unless you have a fiber connection, your ISP limits your Upload Speed to something much lower than the Gigabit Download's Speed. This is because it is much more costly for ISPs to transmit data that is uploaded. Also, large upload rates are usually indicators of illegal downloading or running business servers on a residential line; so some ISPs may limit this to prevent liability or to ensure a consistent experience for users in your neighborhood.
The 850 Mbps that you are getting as a download, is what is expected for a Gigabit Wireless Connection, as there are many different sources of interference or factors that could influence the link speed between devices.

Is the modem/router provided by your ISP still broadcasting a usable wireless signal? If so, you may not have configured the modem to operate in bridge mode. As a result, you may have an issue with two conflicting networks. Also, if you complete the speed test using the website on a wired connection, do the numbers match the results on the application?
