Model: Archer AX11000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.0 Build 20220221 rel.50072(5553)

Hello,

I am extremely confused on the naming schemes for this current router i purchased from Costco.  First, on the bottom of the router it currently list the version as 1.6, but when I login to my router settings it says the version is Hardware Version=Archer AX11000 v1.0 (not 1.6 like the bottom of the router says).

My only options for downloads are as follows from website:

V1

V1.60

does V1.60= 1.6 are they both the same?  I used the firmware upgrade through the router settings ( i cant recall what original version was when purchased )

I can not understand the following explained from tplink site:

Normally Vx.0=Vx.6/Vx.8 (eg:V1.0=V1.6/V1.8);   Vx.x0=Vx.x6/Vx.x8 (eg:V1.20=V1.26/V1.28)

link:

Firmware page

https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/archer-ax11000/v1/

so what do i even go with when choosing firmware as this make no sense, my bottom router = 1.6 and the website list as only 1 or 1.60 i have no idea if 1.6 is the same as 1.60.  St Rather ask than find out  i was wrong and brick router

Thanks,

  @Alkaiser Yes.  The v1.60 would be the same as v1.6.  If you are still uncertain, snap a pick of the label and post it blacking out any details you would not want to share.

  @pcuttle

Thank you so much for the information,  I am extremely confused at the fact the router settings list it as follows

Hardware Version:

Archer AX11000 v1.0

Why does my router settings list it as v1.0 when the back of the router shows 1.6? is this normal?  I purchased my router from costco in case that does anything.  Should i be concerned about this, i have never had a router specially one this expensive not list proper revision number.

I also tried updating firmware from website (V1.60) and it still list it as V1.

Any further information or help greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

J.C

  @Alkaiser

No, that is not usual.  The web GUI should report the same version as the sticker on the router.  I have a feeling there are only subtle differences in the firmware for the two versions and TP-Link forgot to change the versioning in the web GUI for the 1.6.  I would not sweat it as long as everything is working.  Next update may correct it.  Just keep downloading updates to the 1.6 version.

I still have this issue and the GUI still list incorrect Hardware revision, i am currenttly using the latest firmware without any hitch but still bugs me why it does not list proper numbers. I have never experienced this before with any electronic component or machine.
