I just upgraded the firmware and now it says the default passowrd of admin is too short so I cannot log on?

Basically, you will be required to create a password when you initially set up the router, and it's not allowed to use admin as the password for security concerns, you may confirm again with the password you created.

If you were using admin as the login password before the firmware upgrade, I guess you will need to reset the router to factory defaults and create a stronger password now.
