Yes and no.

Yes you can connect a Deco system to the router and have them both work.  If you do we recommend the Deco by put in AP mode and you disable the AX3000's wireless.  Where the No come from is that No the Deco cannot link and extend the wireless of the AX3000.  In all honesty I would replace the AX3000 with the X60.

@Carl

Thanks for the reply.  Honestly, I was hoping to replace the AX3000 with the X60.  Just a brief glance at the phone app though, it looked as though I couldn't do that.  The problem I have is our house has a metal roof and that is killing my WiFi.  I'm hoping a mesh will help overcome that problem.  So what you're telling me is that the X60 can handle a PPoE set up.  Interesting.

Thanks!

Yes when you configure the Deco it does start out as dynamic but the router shout detect the WAN and allow you to change it to PPoE and put in your credentials.

@Carl  If I understand you correctly I need to plug into the WAN port directly from my ethernet drop.  Normally, when I configure a new router I plug it into my laptop and configure it there.  will that not work?

Thanks,

Doug

No because Deco cannot be configured by a laptop.  Only by the App.
