Model: Archer AX11000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.3 Build 20210719 rel.14861(5553)

My 2.4 ghz network devices started having issues a few days ago. I started moving some to the 5 ghz bands and they work fine there.

I connected my iphone to the 2.4ghz and run speed test and it fails. It won't even find the provider.

I changed the SSID name and connected my iphone and run speed test and it works great.

I changed the SSID back to the original and black listed all devices except my iphone and it fails on speed test.

I did a reset of the settings and setup the router again and the 2.4 channel is still having issues.

I'd like to not have to change the SSID name and reconnect all my devices. Can someone help with this issue?

@hereforhelp

That is strange...

We have seen phones and other devices not connect when changing routers when using the same SSID even if it had the same password. Yours sounds a bit different.

I would try deleting (forget) the WIFI on your iPhone and then re-establish it.

Another thing to try is using a different WIFI channel  on the 2.4 ghz band as you may have some interference.

Be sure SSID is not hidden as some devices do not like it. Showing it is not a security risk.

Check the WIFI mode setting.

@ArcherC8  It is more than just my iphone having issues. I was just able to demonstrate the issues using my iphone and speedtest.org. It is causing issues with many devices in the house. Another example are my Alexa devices that once I moved to a different frequency they all started working. It seems like some kind of issue with that SSID name in cache maybe. Thanks for the suggestion though.

@hereforhelp

Could it be possible that there is any other wireless network that using the same SSID as yours? Please run a Wi-Fi analyzer or similar app on the phone to check whether there is any signal that interferences with the 2.4G network of the AX11000.

BTW, please show us the screenshot of the 2.4G settings on the AX11000, including the channel, channel width, and security. You can mask/cover the SSID and password just for any security concerns.
