I did as you requested and changed the mac and got the same thing. One thing I am now noticing is that after I reboot the router it gets the correct speed but after a few hours it drops when tested.

Same thing? Is that the slow speed or the same speed as a direct connect to the modem?

If using Wifi to test, it could fluctuate and also be susceptible inerference, always test wired if possible.

Same speed through router. Modem has no issues. WIFI has never been factored into this. I can test it if you wish.

If you changed the MAC Address of the router to that of the PC, and the speed didn't match what you got out of the router, then it would appear to be a Router problem. Since you said you did the Factory Reset as well, it could very well be a problem with the router, or maybe a poor port contact.

At this point, I suggest you contact TP-Link Support for assistance.

By the way, if you Google 'archer c7 low internet speed' you'll find many hits on it as well. Some with suggestions on how to fix, but I didn't see any real answers.

I gree with your assessment. I'll put in a support ticket. What gets me is that it works great after rebooting the router but after an hour or two it starts degrading. I use a 10.10.2.* for my router(10.10.2.1) but that shouldn't have any impact. I did read somewhere that motorola modems didn't play well with some IP's but it had to do with router ip conflicts.

Many kudos for your time as it is much appreciated.
