Model: Archer AX1800
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.1 Build 20210521 rel.72704(5553)

I'm using the AX 1800 with a Spectrum modem. I bought it a month or two ago. All worked well until yesterday, when I couldn't log into about four email accounts associated with websites hosted by one company (Bluehost). Every device and email-client software couldn't find the IMAP and SMTP servers when hooked up through the AX 1800. (When I hot-spotted wireless devices like an iPad through a mobile phone to bypass the router and modem, things worked fine.) All the accounts are under four different domains and have four different IMAP/SMTP servers.

The router is working A-OK for other online activities, including web surfing and a VOIP line.

A check with Bluehost showed that all the accounts are in good working order - I can log into them through webmail portals. Setup with port servers are also correct. Bluehost thought that Spectrum must be blocking my IP from connecting with Bluehost servers.

Spectrum support zeroed in on the AX 1800 as soon as I mentioned I didn't have a rented Spectrum router. I asked them how the router could be blocking me from connecting with Bluehost email and work absolutely fine to log in and send/receive mail through my Spectrum account, for which they had no answer.

So, I'm coming here. Is there any way my AX 1800 won't connect with one company's set of IMAP/SMTP routers -- all with different domains -- but will work on another connection, like Spectrum's own domain?

@PS_Emerson I also need to add -- I just took AX 1800 out of the loop and connected Spectrum router to computer directly. All email accounts logged in and checked perfectly.

@PS_Emerson

Try to customize the MAC address on the router, copy that of the computer to the router as follows, then reboot both the Spectrum modem and AX1800:

Just a thought...

Try a different DNS server.

@PS_Emerson

Spectrum, email (which I have) can be UNRELIABLE at times.

Assuming you have an RR.COM domain address, have you tried in a browser https://webmail.spectrum.net/mail/auth?

Did you do a TRACERT to the mail server your are using or PING it?

Do all these work with the router attached in the loop?
