If someone attempts to connect and fails to authenticate, does their device name/MAC address show up in the DHCP Client Listing?

I wouldn't think so? Don't expect it too either.

Suspect if you check the log, you'll find it did try though.

Why do you ask? Are you seeing some 'phantom' devices assigned IP Addresses?
