I just ordered the AX1800 and planning to use my current Archer C9 as an access point (in my guest house). Is there an easy way to migrate settings from C9 to AX1800? The only things I need to migrate are MAC-to-IP address bindings (from the ARP list).

@alek_davis

I really can't say for sure, but as far as I know, NO router vendor has the capability to move router configuration from one router model to another model. Most will backup the settings/configuration to a BIN file, and even that file has the router info in it probably.

The best thing to do, use a Screen Capture of the old router setting(s) and manually re-enter them.

I do think some 3rd party f/w used non-binary files for back-ups that can be edited though.

As I said, I'm pretty sure TPL 'protects' you from loading improper settings for a router, but I could be wrong?

@IrvSp Thanks. That's what I thought.
