Model: Adapter
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Why is there 2 cat5 connections on the adapter at the router? Can I speed up the connection by connecting 2 cabels to the router?

Thanks Neal

@legerwn1

The Ethernet ports are to receive a connection or connect to the router.

So for example, if you had the TL-PA9020PKIT one of the adapters would be connected near your router. One port would be connected to your router, and the other port can be connected to another device such as a TV or computer. The second adapter can be placed in a different room, in this instance, you can connect whichever device to the two ports, they would be treated as ports that would be on a network switch. If you need more than two ports on the powerline adapter you can connect a network switch to the powerline adapter as well.
