Also, where is the beamforming option ???

When I setup the router via 192.168.0.1, I search «mimo» and it points me to 

• Advanced > Wireless > Wireless Settings > MU-MIMO

but when I go there, mu mimo option is not there.

Same thing for Beamforming. When I search it, it points me to

• Advanced > Wireless > Additional Settings > Beamforming

but when I go there, the beamforming option isn't there.

The hardware version of my Archer AX20 is v1.20

I cannot help but think that it support mu-mimo and beamforming are false claims.

I had before this a Archer C7 which I liked, but now the lack of consistent information is so confusing that I'm not sure I will go with TP-Link again in the future.

Are you in the US or using a US AX20?

I looked on the US Support site at the AX20 User Manual (https://www.tp-link.com/us/user-guides/archer-ax20&ax1800_v1/chapter-13-customize-your-network-settings#ug-sub-title-8) and the Firmware Emulator for V1.2 (https://emulator.tp-link.com/Archer_AX20v1.20_US_simulator/index.html#additionalSettings), and in neither place is it mentioned.

Also the TP-LINK 'sales' page for the AX20, nor the Specifications page (https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-ax20/v1/#specifications) does NOT list them. There is mention in the notes below the main page, but that is boiler plate I guess as all they say is the device must support those features.

Quite possible the non-US version does have those features?

I suggest you use the LINK to contact SALES and ask them, they should have the complete answer.

The whole situation is so confusing, us site says no, singapore site says yes, amazon says yes, other sites says no, pretty confusing for a new buyer.

I don't mind not having mu mimo as most of my stuff is wired, only my iPad, cellphone et Kobo are on wifi, and I live alone so not too much congestion on wifi.

As for beamforming, I have a 100 mbps connection, I find the range to be great on 5 ghz as I get my full 100 mbps, but not on the 2 ghz, there I get only about 72-73 mbps.

I have a OneMesh RE505X that I get about 75 mbps on it's 5 ghz, but that's due to the distance between the repeater and the router. 

I know the AX73 supports WPA 3, OFDMA, Mu Mimo and beamforming, but I find it too expensive, and I don't feel like I would really benefit from mu mimo or beamforming in my situation.

I'm not mad at the product as it works great for my needs and is easy to setup, but before buying it, knowing that it does not support those features (mu mimo and beamforming), not sure I'd have bought this one.

I've got an Archer A20 with both.

Well, the 'sales blurb' does at least.

Clearly states 'Beam Forming', see https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-a20/ and that states it is included. It also is for V3, and I have V1.

Generally speaking, when the Version is changed, it seems it is due to Internal Chipset changes or PSU, not router spec's, but I could be wrong?

On my Archer A20, MU-MIMO is only selectable on the 2 5Ghz bands, NOT the 2.4Ghz as it is not selectable. Above web site for sales claims 'tri-band' MU-MIMO:

Note the C4000 above. The C4000 and A20 are quite similar, with the main difference being where sold it seems.

Again, I have NO setting to turn that on or off. I've not had any problem though with power output in the house though.

I had 100Mbps ISP speed and now 400Mbps speed (down). I tested both with and without MU-MIMO on and off. On N, AC, and AX devices. Can't say I've seen any difference, even wired and wireless.
