Password to get on network

My Network name shows up but I cannot add my older iMac to the network.

It refuses to accept the network password but password is correct. I verified using

the card that came with the router as well as on TPlink site

Possible the Security is set too high for the old Mac? Test with NO Security on the SSID and see if it connects?
