Hi - I have purchased the TP Link VR600 v3 (AC2100) and connected to Vodafone UK fine. My problem is that since I swapped router from the VF one my download connection speed has gone from about 23,000kbps to 14,999 over the last 3-4 days and the SNR margin has gone up from about 8 to 13.2. My max rate is currently 37,617. My upstream is fine - 5996 versus a max of 6390. I have queried with VF and had a text from VF saying they have tested my line and can't find a fault, and blamed my equipment or home set up. Does anyone have any thoughts please? Thanks

If you still have the VF router try putting that back to see how that performs. You can also try connecting your computer directly to the DSL modem and creating a PPPoE connection: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/921/

 

You can also possibly see if the ISP recommends a different MTU size other than the default 1480 which is found in the "Advanced" setting in the Internet menu.

@Tony Hi, I have retried the VF router for an hour and a half  - no change other than a slightly slower connection.

@Andy12wpc I have the same probem  with tha ac 2100. isp Plusnet.

Have you sorted the fault? if so what was it?

@slspts I managed to get Vodafone to send an OpenReach engineer out. He diagnosed corrosion on the wiring in the cabinet and also the wiring going into the house.
