Hi,
I am using the AX6000 and am trying to get WiFi on a Dell Inspiron 5559 laptop.
The wireless adapter card is an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 and the laptop supports 802.11ac.
All drivers and Windows 10 are up to date on the laptop.
No SSIDs from the AX6000 are received by the laptop, be it on 2.4G or 5G.
I have tried guest networks as well, and they cannot be seen either. I also tried changing the SSID names.
The router and modem (bridged) have been reset several times. In fact, I have just changed to a new modem and the issue persists.
What else could be causing this? I had no issues seeing the SSIDs on the laptop with the old Nighthawk R7000 router, and I see all the neighbours' SSIDs.
Could this be something as simple as the AX6000 router and laptop not being compatible? I don't know if I want to go through the expense and trouble of replacing the network card, especially if the issue comes from the router itself.

Your issue is likely that the driver is not up to date, users with Intel cards have reported this before.

The other alternative in the meantime is to change your wireless protocols on the router so they exclude AX, you will then see the networks again.

I swapped the old wireless card with a new WiFi 6 AX200 wireless card. Then I installed the latest AX200 driver from Intel. Windows welcomed me to WiFi 6 and our home networks appeared right away on the Dell.
So for anyone with an older Inspiron having issues... It might be time to upgrade your WiFi card.

One other solution is to go to advanced/setting/wireless settings/ and in the 2.4 channel change the mode to 802.11b/g/n mixed for older Dell laptops. I can verify this fix works for the Intel AC 7260 network card.
