Network Optimization in firmware 201022 of Deco M5 (V3)
I run three different mesh systems using Deco M5's, and they all just updated to firmware 201022 which has a new feature called "Network Optimization".
When you tell a mesh (via the app) to do a Network Optimization, it displays "Scanning Network" for a few seconds, then says something about network being congested and wants you to hit a button to optimize. When you hit that, when it is finished it simply says "Network Status Perfect" and wants you to hit a button that says "Got It". At no point does it say what it is doing to "optimize" the network. Anyone know what exactly it is doing and what it is changing? I can't find any documentation on this.

@LiranETN There was an update today with a WiFi Assistant feature on Deco Labs. I don't know if it does anything but just analyse the network?

@navigator48 thanks a lot for your input on this thread.
I just upgraded my three Deco M5 V1 devices to the 1.5.1 firmware and had a whole host of throughput issues during the day today. I have 220mbit broadband and my PC (plugged in) has been fine. Wifi devices (kids laptops) are all over the place. I have just followed the TFTP advice on putting 1.4.9 back on and all is restored.
There is something not right with the 1.5.1 firmware imho. Am going to wait until the next version is released....!

@Mike-S Try turning off Beam Forming - that fixed some issues for me with previous releases of TP-Link firmware.

@LiranETN There is no way to manually change the WiFi channels.

@Mike-S I did not disable Beam Forming until I had already reverted to 1.4.9. It will be interesting to see if disabling Beam Forming on 1.5.1 fixes your issues. They sound exactly like what I was experiencing on 1.5.1 with Beam Forming enabled.

@navigator48 pretty sure I had beamforming disabled on 1.5.1 when I was experiencing the issues. Am not going back to 1.5.1 now - certainly not whilst I have the kids at home doing home schooling!
Will wait until they release the next release I think. However it was surprising easy to revert them back to the old firmware using the T-FTP client, which was good news!

i have the same issue on a M9 Plus mesh (3 Decos), every time I check the network something is "congested", then is "perfect" and essentially nothing changed and the clients are still connected to whatever Deco were connected before the optimization (and usually to a farther deco).
Then I run it again, same cycle, something is "congested", then is "perfect", little or no change.
i like the feature of checking the network, but the mesh shouldn't be doing that automatically without the user checking it?
is it not the base idea of having a mesh instead of repeaters?
