Change extended WiFi password
Hello everyone.
Just got myself the tp-link Re450 Ac1750 and so far working perfectly, such a better speed than an old netgear one.
Just wanted to check one thing with you guys: is it possible to change the password for the extended network, the same way you can change the ssid?
I live in a shared house, and since I bought it for myself I figured I'll use it for myself too.
Couldnt find the option at all, so I guess the alternative is to hide ssid. Although different ssid and different pwd would be better

Unfortunately, you are not able to change the password, only the SSID like you mentioned.
The one way you can actually have the extender have its own SSID and password is to set it up as an access point(https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1401/), but that will require an Ethernet cable from the router to the extender.

@Tony oh right, fair enough. Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I can't plug it in on ethernet as my room is directly opposite in the house. But I'll either allow only mac address or hide said. Thanks again
