I assume your laptop works on other WIFI networks. The first thing I would check is to see what mode you have the WIFI in. If you have it as AX or AC only that may be your problem. Try changing it. Next I would try specific channels and widths. Does your laptop support the security you selected for the WIFI? Security settings can cause issues as can a VPN if you are using on for work.
