The company has quietly removed RE505X from the EasyMesh compatibility list, it is no longer listed as planned. I have lost all hope from this company.

FWIW, I have this configuration:

- ISP router

- Archer AX55 (1.2.6 Build 20231130 rel.36135)

- RE605X (1.1.4 Build 20230509 Rel. 78185)

- RE700X (1.0.2 Build 20231129 Rel. 63661)

Configured both RE605X and RE700X to join the OneMesh Wifi from Archer AX55, DL speed is roughly 250 mbps.

Now, tried cabling the RE700X via ethernet directly to the Archer AX55 without any configuration change, the RE700X is unstable:

Now, bare with me, I cabled the RE700X directly to the ISP router without any configuration change, now the bandwidth is the same as the ISP router:

Not sure what is happening here, maybe I'm completely mistaken.

- I can't access http://tplinkwifi.net anymore from a laptop

- I can still access the Tether App with my smartphone, and the RE700X is still considered as part of the OneMesh network, I can see the client connected to the RE700X

Please give it a try.

Well after some days, it doesn't properly work, the wifi provided by the RE700X is not fully stable, I guess it's not effectively part of the mesh system, but simply acts as an extender with the same SSID. Shame..

Ended up buying another AX55 supporting ethernet backhaul and forcing the US firmware V1_1.3.2 Build 20240325:

Hi,

I went through the same.  1700, re550.  Yeah.  Then I had some other problems.  Wife works from home so we needed things to be dependable.  The AC1900 or Archer A8 win "mimo" made such a difference.  I have a lot of "smert" stuff, home assistant, switches etc.  I rarely have an issure, if never.  Sometimes maybe but it's not the router's fault.  Oh,btw, unplugged the re550.  Don't need it.  Gave it to goodwill.  Still hae the 1700 if for some emergency, but the 1900 is a bigger jump than you wouuld think, and moderately priced.  So, bottom line, depending on your house size, for me just the bigger wouter without all the satelite stuff works fine.
