HS220 v2 Problem
HS220 v2 Problem
Hi. I have 4-5 HS220v1 throughout my house which work great.
I just bought a new batch and it seems that the V2 versions (firmware 1.0.3) keep restarting themselves every 30 seconds. I have even tried moving them to the locations where my old v1 HS220's are working and the problem persists.
The V2 switches also have a lot of trouble finding Wi-Fi and just overall seem very buggy.
The rebooting issue only happens once we get past the WI-FI connection part of setup. After that, I'm lucky to even be able to get past the naming. When the dimming calibration comes, the device becomes unresponsive again and continues to reboot every 30 seconds.
After rebooting, the switch can only be controlled for about 2-3 seconds (manually) and then it just hangs (unresponsive) til the next reboot cycle.
This is the second thread I'm starting about this rebooting issue. Please help!

I have the same problem. Three new Hs220 switches and the Kasa app chokes after setting up Wi-Fi. The switches seem to connect after setup because the light is solid green. But the app says it is offline. The physical switch does not work at all.
I have the same 30 second reboot cycle.
What is worse, and an indication of a serious design flaw, it is NOT POSSIBLE to factory reset the switches. I've tried everything, pushing the reset and reboot buttons for 30 seconds or more. Each time it flashes orange once, then goes green 3x before solid green.
As a result, I can't try reconnecting to another network because it won't forget mine.
I see others faked the same SSID with a different router, but this has eaten up a whole day of my time and I am not impressed.
