Model: AC50
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 3.15.3 Build 180114 Rel.39265n

Hello,

I'm new to the community here, but I've owned an AC 1750 Archer C7 v2 for several years.

With my kids forced to do remote learning for this school year I now have a need to improve WiFi throughout my home.  A couple years ago I setup a powerline extender on the second floor.  This helped but now we have too many devices trying to connect and coverage is still spotty.

I have an older cable modem/router which I'd like to plug into that powerline device and use as an AP.  I've tried to do this in the past w/o success, so I'm hoping some networking experts here can give me some step by step guidance.  This modem/router is the Motorola SBG6580 docsis 3.0.

Thanks!

Steve

p.s., ignore the model selected on the form above ... it is the AC 1750 Archer C7 v 2 - which wasn't an option in the drop down

I was able to figure it out ...

@steve.s

I was able to find this, look like it is from the Motorola support section: https://motorolamentor.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003023327-How-Can-I-Use-my-Motorola-Cable-Modem-Router-as-an-Access-Point-
