Set up 3 x P7  

AP mode from talktalk router situated upstairs

 

1. Upstairs connected to router  (strong signal  - ave 63Mbps)  - no issues

2. Downstairs in kitchen             (strong signal - ave 57Mbps) - no issues

3.  Extension                               (random/fluctuates -  anything from 3Mbps - 40Mbps)   ??????

 

Speed of the main and in kitchen ar fine

 

In the extension (only 7m away from the kitchen unit - divided by one single brick wall only)  the speed varies constantly from 25 - 3Mbps

therefore watching a film for example is impossible as stops/buffers constantly

I have reset / rebooted this router many times and reverts back to random speeds dropping in and out.

 

I did a speed test every 5 minutes on the TV in the last half hour (see below)

1.     22mbps

2.     19mbps

3.     3mbps

4.     4.4mbps

5     16mbps

6.     5.2mbps

 

Confused.

 

I connect ethernet from the extension P9 and same happens as wireless

 

Is it the set up or the unit faulty ?
