Need halp. Bought the TP-LINK RE450 range extender and followed the set up instructions. I paired it with my old LinkSys E3000 (CISCO). Installed successfully but only 5GHZ is working.
Bought it primarily for my wifi cam but my wifi cam only works with 2.4ghz and won't detect the 5ghz at all.

If the main router has the 2.4G and 5G named the same then pairing with the extender may only connect one band. Do the same paring method (WPS) and see if the 2.4G will now light up.
If not, download Tether into your smartphone, connect to the extender, and set up the 2.4G band that way.

I tried what you mentioned. Both 2.4 and 5 were lighting up. I named them differently. But no connection at all for 2.4ghz.

@TPRE450lurker Hi I also using same model and facing same problem. I had setup my RE450 WiFi extender, successfully connect to 5ghz EXT but why I cant connect to 2.4ghz EXT? Any solution for that?
