Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I have a deco M4 in my basement, another 1 floor up, they connect. A third unit will not connect on the top floor. I did bring it downstairs near the other connected unit and it will not connect, the LED stays constant yellow. Numerous resets with same results, other two units are fine. Suggestions welcomed.

I did not see my model in the dropdown box:

AC1200
M4R 

SSID: Deco-A318

Here is a story of a user that did a firmware recovery to go about solving it:  https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/stories/detail/672

 

The Deco may have became bricked because of an update.

 

When they get to the part about grabbing the latest firmware, make sure to get the firmware for your region and the right hardware version. Here is the US region firmware: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/deco-m4/v1/

Hi Tony, firmware is up to date. I have gone through the sequence you sent me. The third unit will not connect. Even if it is in the same room as the online Deco it does not connect despite numerous re-starts.
