Hi,

I bought a TP-Link AC1750 to use as my office router.  My hope was to use the vpn server feature to be able to access our Samba NAS server from outside the LAN by connecting to the built in OpenVPN server.  I'm able to connect to the VPN, but I can't access the NAS, because the VPN clients are put on a different subnet.  VPN connections are on 10.8.0.0/24 and the NAS is on 10.10.0.110/24.  I can't even ping 10.10.0.110.  Is there any way to make the LAN accessable via OpenVPN connection? Thanks.

Get that local server connected to the same VPN server even if it is already local. Both computers should now be on the same subnet where they can communicate.

@Tony thanks for your quick reply.  How do I connect the server to the VPN?  It's on the LAN side of the TP-Link router/vpn server.  When I try to coonect to the WAN ip, as VPN clients do, it times out.  Also, if I am able to connect the server to the VPN, wouldn't LAN (non-VPN) users no longer be able access the server?

@erik1234

You will need to reference the local IP of the router, not the WAN IP, then it will connect.

You should still have LAN access as our computer will still have the 192 address along with the VPN connection also running.
