Here's something I can't explain....

I have an AX3000 Version 1.  The other day, I was checking and clearing the router logs like I do every few days when I noticed the little symbol at the top right informing me there is a firmware upgrade.  So I allowed the upgrade to take place and it upgraded me to 1.0.4 Build 20200426 rel.69563(5553).

 

But when I went to the AX3000 website, there was no such version on the firmware page however there does seem to be a similar version for the AX50.  My router is definitely the AX3000 v1.  USB2.0 port and AX3000 V1 printed on the bottom of the router. 

 

So now my router's device information page shows. Firmware version: 1.0.4 Build 20200426 rel.69563(5553)   Hardware version: Archer AX3000 v1.0

 

Did TP-Link push an update to my router that hasn't been released yet?  I've been trying to email support, but it takes days for them to respond.

 

Any ideas what might have happened?   Am I missing something about how updates work?

Our website typically gets updated with the latest firmware on Fridays, if not then the week after it is usually updated. So if you update via the cloud, you will eventually see it as well on the website.

@Tony Thank you Tony.  I thought it might be something like that.  The router is working fine with the new firmware but I was just curious why it wasn't listed on the site.  You answered my question.

@OneidaLake My router just updated to the new firmware too a few minutes ago, that you've mentioned and it seems to be working so far. Hope it improved the stability and not degrade the performance.

 

I am not sure if mine is an anomoly but I've had to reboot the router about once a week at least because it would hang/crash.
