When my PC is on WiFi, no problem with Simple Service Discovery Protocol (Chrome discovers Chromecast)

 

ping 239.255.255.250

 

Envoi d’une requête 'Ping'  239.255.255.250 avec 32 octets de données :
Réponse de 192.168.0.17 : octets=32 temps=3 ms TTL=64

 

Normal behaviour

 

 

When my PC is on Ethernet, problem with Simple Service Discovery Protocol (Chrome don't see Chromecast)

 

ping 239.255.255.250

Délai d’attente de la demande dépassé.

Statistiques Ping pour 239.255.255.250:
Paquets : envoyés = 1, reçus = 0, perdus = 1 (perte 100%)

In fact, my chromecat is behind another switch (TP-Link TL-SG108E V1)

 

I have enable =

 

- IGMP Snooping on Switch

- IGMP Snooping on Router

 

And  now it's OK

Log into the router and go to Advanced > Network > IPTV. Try to enable the IGMP options, test the different IGMP options and also the lan port settings. There was a older issue with powerline devices that had ssdp issues and utilizing IGMP solved that. That may work in this instance as well.
