WDS Bridging Function on AC1750
The root router on my system is an AT&T Model 5268AC with the following address
Router/Gateway Address: 192.168.1.254
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
What IP Address should I enter during the AC1750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Rouiter Archer C7/A7 WDS Bridging process?
The samples in the user guide on pages 105 and 106 don't make sense.

you shouldn't need an IP address. Log into the router. Go to Advanced > System Tools> System Parameters and choose which band you want to do WDS with. You can do both but just one a time.
Say you choose 2.4 GHz. click on the survey button. Then click on choose next your host network. type in the password for that network and click save. Do the same for the 5GHz and you will complete the WDS process. Keep in mind WDS is essentially turning a router into a range extender.

Carl, thanks for the info but I cannot select the 5G WDS option if the 2G is selected and saved.
Step 1 of the manual's instructions say
1 & 2) Go to Advanced > Network > LAN, confirgure the IP address of the extended router to be in the same subnet with the root router, then click Save.
Step 3 says
3) What you described.
Step 4 says
4) Disable DHCP.

Yeah I just confired with some collegues who have used the service before. They confrimed only one band can be configured. DHCP does need to be truned off as well. I was under the impression this was automatic but I have since been corrected. Sorry about the confusion.

@CowboyWM I got this to work by manually entering a LAN IP address on the same subnet as root router. Or you can make a DHCP address reservation by the MAC id of the LAN port. In your example, it would be `192.168.1.x` where x is unused and outside the DHCP address zone. try `192.168.1.253`

Actually, I am having more or less the same issue.
I want to use the AC1750 as a repeater for a Mikrotik hap ac2 router. (192.168.89.1 gateway). I changed to LAN IP to be within the same subnet as the Mikrotik (192.168.89.2 for instance), then I selected the WDS for each band (2.4 and 5 Ghz), added the same password as the host router and in the end I switched the DHCP off on the AC1750. The moment I switched the DHCP off on the AC1750 and plugged in the cable from the Mikrotik main router to the AC1750 WAN, the entire network went down along with the internet connection - not to mention that the AC1750 could no longer be reached. I repeated all the steps according to the instructions (I even tried connecting the cable to any of the other ports than the WAN) and the result is the same. Where is the mistake? Am I missing something?
