Hi All,

I have router TL-WR940N and a HP Deskjet 2544 wireless printer.  Laptop with windows 10.  With my old router I could printer wirelessly, that router died.  I'd like to add the printer so that any device connected to this new router can print.

I've searched and found references to USB Print Controller but, I cannot find that download.

If anyone can help I'd be most grateful with the download and advice/guidance, like many millions around the world I'm home working and need to print various things.  I can via USB cable connect to my laptop but that doesn't work for printing from iPad or Phone.

Many thanks in adcance.

Does your router have a USB port? What version is it? I would just connect it wireless.

@SteveJ

What @ArcherC8 says is correct. The router does not have a USB interface so you would connect the printer wirelessly.

Here is a HP article on how to set up WPS: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-deskjet-2540-all-in-one-printer-series/5295960/model/5385260/document/c04608548

WIth respect to the TP-Link to enable WPS on it, look behind the device you will see a WPS/Wi-Fi button, just press that for 1 second.

Once WPS has been activated on both devices they will connect to each other. From there your devicse that are connected to the TL-WR940N should be able to print to it.
