@Tony I still have the same issue not matter what i do.

I have tried to reset the time settings from the web app and reboot after each change

I have tried resetting the deco M9 plus units and reconfiguring the network from scratch.

What can be done in this case? This is becoming annoying ... we expect a firmware update to fix this issue ...

@Tikamak

If you have the version 1 of the Deco M9 there should have been an update released that gives you the web UI so you can change the time zones. Hardware version 2 should be coming soon after.

For others what are the models of the Deco units you are working with and the hardware versions you still see the time issues?

@Tony

I have a V1 and i am accessing the web page and changing time settings to Asia / beirut but it's still 25 march and around 14 hours difference

What can be done ? Would you like a screenshot or a copy of the logfile for example ?

Please fix this

@Tikamak

What is the firmware version you are using (version and build)?

I don't know what changed, I'm guessing something on the TP-Link servers, but my time is setting correctly now.  I had to change to a different zone, then change back.  I'm using M5 units on the current 1.4.4 firmware, but that hasn't changed since the initial install and update.

@Tikamak

The M5 and the M9 have since have firmware to correct the time issue.

If changing the time settings in the GUI does not work, factory reset all devices by holding the rest for 1 second and setting it up should correct it.

@Tony i performed a hard rest with the button on the back one more time for the sake of follow up and as soon as it's getting time settings, it's back to 24 March 2018

At this point this is not acceptable, i need a real solution in the next couple days or i will be trashing this for a netfear orbi ... I chose deco m9 plus over that because i felt support was better with tp-link and the free QoS and parental control

Neither of those 3 things are working properly due to this issue not being resolved

@Tony I had 3 deco M9 plus units in the package where i was using 2, I had the idea of configuring the 3rd that doesn't have the firmware.

When starting a fresh setup on the 3rd unit using the firmware 1.2.7 Build 20190327 Rel. 48412, i noticed the following:

  • Date seems correct since when i entered the monthly reports
    • the gui is not available on older firmwares to verify properly which date/time the unit is at
    • it's showing June month (while on the other units it was telling me to check my connection, probably because the date is not correct)
  • The antivirus security database is up-to-date as of Jan 1, 2018 (i don't understand this)

I rebooted the unit before updating the firmware just to see if anything changes for the antivirus and it's still showing this: "antivirus security database is up-to-date as of Jan 1, 2018"

I updated the firmware to 1.4.0 Build 20200324 Rel. 51287

  • The time is back to "Current Time: 2020-03-24 8:09:18 AM" just like the firmware release date.
  • Antivirus is showing: "antivirus security database is up-to-date as of Mar 24, 2020"
  • Monthly report is no longer working, --> Check your internet connection before viewing ...

This firmware is either bugged or your time servers do not have the correct time for Asia/Beirut
