I recommend avoiding Firmware 1.0.7 Build 20200212 rel.7095(5553). It currently isn't available on TP-Link Website, but is downloadable from within the router's "Online Upgrade" feature if you click on "Check for upgrade."
After upgrading, I found my TP-Link power switches would not automatically connect to internet requiring them to be reset, then they would lose connection again later. My Amazon TV lost connection and would not connect to internet. My water softener and another Amazon device also lost connection to internet. It appeared the devices were connecting to the router but DHCP was not working.
After rebooting the router a couple times and experiencing the same behavior, I reverted back to Firmware 1.0.6 Build 20190822 rel26396(5553) which is the latest posted on TP-Link's website. The problem was fixed instantly. I've owned several TP-Link Routers and numerous TP-Link IoT devices that I try to keep updated with the latest firmware. This is the only time I've ever felt the need to revert back to a previous version.

@westranm It took a couple of reboots, but then fine, working very well through thick walls and reliable connections. Only thing I don't like is that Link Aggregation will only work with a NAS, not a TP-Link 24 port Smart Switch - DHCP goes to pot and it hangs.

@westranm The only thing that worked for me was trialling a December build beta firmware.
since then no issues with connectivity where prior I was losing 5ghz daily and requiring a reboot.

@westranm How do you revert to a previous version? Uploading an old firmware to the web ui gives me an error.

@ruqqq I recommend just updating to the latest version of the firmware 1.1.0 Build 20200427 rel.80857(5553)
This latest firmware has been rock solid...no issues. However, I do not recommend enabling the new WPA3 feature given I had a device or two that didn't seem to like that enabled. I haven't tried it with the latest firmware, but I retired my old RE355 range extender that seemed to create chaos in terms of devices staying connected.
Also, I recommend setting 2.4Ghz at 20Mhz bandwidth on a fixed channel and 5GHz at 40Mhz bandwidth on a fixed channel for best combination of performance and reliability, especially if you have neighbors that may compete with your router.

@westranm BTW, my 5GHz network is set up as follows. The only significant difference on 2.4GHz is 20MHz bandwidth. Don't use "auto" features...this may cause router to switch around to different channels and bandwidths when encountering interference from neighbors' routers, temporarily dropping your clients.

I tried WPA3 for the hell of it, but I had a device or two that didn't like it. Given I have no devices currently supporting it, I just turned it off rather than trying to see if devices would eventually start working properly.

@gciullob yes, how do you revert back....I have downloaded the March 2020 firmware but it wont let me install...gives me an error. I am also having issues with the 20200427 rel 80857 release (which has since been removed by TP-Link) - - something is up
