I see instructions on the TP-Link support site for using Apple's Time Machine on a USB drive connected to certain routers, but my router is not among them. Is there a way to make it work? I formatted a USB drive as Apple HFS (journaled), but the volume doesn't appear in the USB settings. And my portal doesn't show the "Time Machine" menu that is discussed on the help site. I could reformat it back to NTFS, which I'm sure would make it shareable, but I think time machine needs the apple format.

Time machine needs the apple format and that router does not support that format.

Is this something that will be available for the AC1750 in the future? I just bought this router and a backup drive for the timemachine function for my mac. Do I need a different router instead?
