I could not logon to my TP Webpage at 192.168.0.1.  I was searching for an aswer and found one at the above website.  They also had a chat box.  I chatted about how I could not see the webpage but did earlier and they had a tech call me.  After discussion he used helpme to log on to my computer.  Then had me run prefetch after pushing Windows + R at the same time.  He started pitching my computer.  I disconnected him.

I don't know why I can't logon and hope someone can help me with that.  But google Prefetch and scam and one can see the result.  This is a heads up that the above web page appears to be a scammer impersonating TP LInk.  I thought TP Link would want to know.

Oh BTW - just installed my C2300 today.

@wdpcpa

On the bottom of every TP-Link is a url used to access the management GUI.  This is an internal only non-routable URL that can only be access from the local network.  It should be tplinkwifi.net.  While the LAN Gateway will also work its not nessasrliy 192.168.0.1.  To view your gateway address open a CMD window and type 'ipconfig -all'  then look for the Adapter wireless or ethernet that has an IP and use the listed gateway.

Alterniativly you can use the TP-Link Tether App.  You just need to connect to the router's wireless and then launch the app  it will detect the TP-Link router and provide local access to it and most of its features.  Once you link the router to a TP-Link Cloud account you can also use the Tether app for remote access as long as the router is connected and online.

You also may need to clear your browser history or use a different browser.

@ArcherC8 Thanks all.  I unplugged and then plugged the router back in.  Works now.
