@Cubelodyte

Myself as well.  This turned out to be a huge waste of time.  I'm packing up my AX1500, AC1750, and extenders to return all of it.

I had planned to set up an access point to only allow a PC (wired) and Oculus Quest VR headset (wireless) so they communicate directly for virtual desktop streaming.

Problem 1: TP-Link disables whitelisting on Access point mode, which means I have to HIDE the SSID to disable encryption (which still isn't ideal).

Problem 2: With this setup (encryption off) - I *MUST* be able to ensure nobody else is connecting to the access point.  This isn't possible.  If someone else does find the SSID and connect, I'd never know.

I will never buy another TP-Link product after seeing this blown off as a non-issue.

This is ridiculous. I'm not waiting any longer either. AX3000 and a bunch of AX1500's going in the garbage.

@alien-link

I returned my TP-Link AX11000 and bought an equivalent Asus GT-AX11000 and couldn't be happier.

I eventually ran into stability problems with the AX11000 where devices kept getting disconnected and my whole family was complaining.  After switch to Asus, I get rock solid internet and there are no glitches with missing wifi clients, software is updated, many more comprehensive features, mesh, etc.

Would recommend you look around for an alternative, you will be happier.

Same problem here: I have an Archer C7 v4 and an Archer C7 v5.
I have 8-10 wifi devices on my house. Now I'm sure I have a MacBook connected, a Samsung Phone, two Shelly IoT things, two Amazon Echo currently connected. But I can only see the MacBook pro on the C7v4 list of connected wireless devices. Zero devices are reported from the C7v5.

As my previous experience, with a never solved real bug on the MR200 (PPP protocol), and the fact that this thread is open for more than 2 years, I can only assume that when you buy a tp-link product, you buy it with its bugs. There is usually no way to have it patched.

  @Todism

I have an AX11000 with the same issue. The latest firmware hasn't fixed this for me.
