@Lusayalumino

You can get them in two ways depending on the network setup.

1. Look at the leases on the dhcp server. You might have to figure out which leases were from wireless users. That's the reason for opening this ticket, it's a bad way to manage the network.

2 I have not verified this yet, but this is wise he meant by PINGn.  if you have access to the wireless users devices, Ping the wireless router IP address from those devices, it will then register the MAC address. This is unrealistic when you manage a wireless network with constant new users.

@Carl any word on a fix?

@alien-link

No nothing as of yet.  I have asked for an update and will update the thread as soon as i am able to.

@Lusayalumino, Alen is correct in his explanation of what I meant by pinging,  For how to get a list of connected devices go to the router's UI and follow this path.  Advanced > Network > DHCP server > DHCP client list.  Though this will not be available if you are in AP mode as the router would not be providing DHCP addresses.

@Concerned-Admin

.

How are you trying to use the router?  As a router or an AP?  Are you looking at the client list via the web UI or in the Tether app?

@Carl

Using as Router; accessing via web.

Hi Carl, I am using it as an AP and tried both web console and APP both show no clients connected.

Moreover, as an update to this, we had a spare Archer C6 laying around so I configured it too as AP with a similar setup as A6 and it works without any issue and shows client list both in Web UI and Tether APP. So it's definitely something wrong with the A6 series.

Yeah, same happens with my C6 in AP mode. Currently no clients are shown at all.

Whereas I understand that wired devices are not AP's responsibility (it's a switch after all), I would expect to see authenticated clients in the wireless network, even if they don't have IP address.

Weird thing is sometimes they all show, but yesterday had a power outage and still not a single wireless client appears in the list, not even the phone I use to manage it.
