@Carl I have the same issue as above. My wireless speeds from the main unit has been fluctuating around 300Mbps only though I have a 1Gbps service. Deco app test by hardwire reads around 900Mbps. Why does my wifi speed show less than 50% of the theoretical of even the 5G speed of the deco? I would be happy with 500Mbps.

I have done the switching of deco units, switching of ethernet ports on the deco unit, even reset to factory defaults. Results all came back the same around 300Mbps.

@genengjy

What is the device you are connecting with?  Is it a seperate network card and if so what is the antenna array?  The speed concern may be a result of your device network adapter so before we lump it in with other user concerns I would like to rule that out.

@CramNevets  Thank you! My speed was capped by Qos to 50%. Now my speed is back to 590/40 Mbps wired. The speed through the wifi-connected deco's is not that great, but I can make Teams-calls again.

@CramNevets I created an account just to say thank you! Finally getting more than what my initial speed test from a few years ago limit to. Now to google it up and see if it's worth upgrading to an M9 lol. Thanks again!

@GLA0162

Hi, welcome to the community.

Since the original post was a little old, there are several versions of firmware that have been released to optimize the performance.

Not sure if the previous users still had the same issue.

If you do not mind, it is suggested to start a new thread .

In the meanwhile, there are some common suggestions shared our users:

1. Please check the QoS settings on the Deco APP and make sure it is disabled or set to 1000/1000 m/s.

2. If it is only satellite units couldn't reach 1000m/s, please have a look at this link:Why is my satellite Deco unit not getting the same speed as the main Deco?

3. If you are on wireless connection, please make sure you are next to main Deco and turn off the 2.4ghz on the Deco APP and test again on the devices.

For more details about speedtest, please refer the following links:

Deco LAN speed is capped to 100m/s

Troubleshooting: Slow Internet Speed with Deco Devices

Thank you.

Best regards.

  @CramNevets

Dude ! you are a GENIUS !

Been trying to figure this CRAP out all morning.

I set QOS Bandwidth to 1Gps both ways, set for STREAMING, then also click Network Optimization again.

BINGO ! my wired and WIFI speeds just doubled to 236 MBps (was only 114, but I'm paying for 200)

THANKS!
