while i agree that M5 global/USA sales volume may affect the priority of pushing out firmware/software updates compared to other TP-Link home routers, i do believe the M9 Plus should be promptly updated in a similar manner, if not before the M5 in the USA. Can the TP-Link team provide us with an update on when to expect 1.3.1 or later?

M9 plus needs firmware update to same features as M5. It's arleady been months since M5 got it so no reason why you can't push this to M9 plus. I bought 3 pack M9 plus from Costco, if no update or added features like M5, this is going back to Costco.

I'm starting to give up the P7 ever getting the update. Kinda sucks we're missing out on basic features (web ui, etc)

I also wonder if this is going to be the norm for tp-link, pushing updates for the m5, and leaving the p7/m9 sitting for months without. By the time we get the update the m5 will be on 4.0 with more features.

i agree with the above posts. M9 Plus needs an update schedule that is at least similar to that of the M5, regardless of volume/sales differences between the two models.

Haha, I'm talking about the P7, but I agree all should be on a similar schedule as the hardware isn't drastically different and it would nice for things to be consistent :D

I returned my M9 plus to Costco today. Lack of communication on missing features is too much of a concern for me. I am sticking to my good old Orbi.

I am afraid I will need to do same with my M9 - return to Amazon.
I am not sure if TP-link is going to support M9 at all.. Who knows, may be soon could announcement that development stopped and you need to buy new product....Happened already with other products....
