Model: TL-PA4010P KIT
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.3.1.2141-00_401114_180516_901

Hello,

I have a TL-PA4010PKIT, one connected to the wall and ethernet connected to the router, and the other  connected to the wall on the same room and ethernet connected to my desktop.

In the desktop I have a TP-Link TG-3468 for gigabit connection but I'm not able to get past 100mbps connection.

I bought two new ethernet cables CAT6 shielded and foiled adn my TG-3468 is also new, as I bought it thinking the problem could be with the realtek integrated adapter.

I also tried forcing 1gbps full-duplex negociation in the network adapter but with no luck.

My internet connection is 200mbps/100mbps which I can get on 5ghz wireless on my smartphone(android) and laptop (windows 10).

I installed tpPLC software in my desktop and it measures around 430mbps between my powerline adapters so I'm not sure why I'm not getting a gigabit connection amd 200mbps speed for my connection.

When I connect directly to my router I get 200mbps speed so that is not the problem.

I'd appreciate any help at this point.

Thank you

Jose Fonseca

@jpof88

The TL-PA4010 Kit only has Fast Ethernet ports so the best internet speed you will see is 100Mbps.  The Powerline's 600 Mbps rating is the tranfer rate between the adapters not the internet or connection speeds you will see on your computer.  You can see this in the screenshot you provided the Yellow line is the representation of this.  In your case 431 Mbps is your transfer rate between adapters.

I did not notice that when I bought them.

The advertisement is a bit confusing in that regard.

Well I'm stuck with these now...Thanks for the reply.
