Model: Archer C3150
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.0.0 0.9.1 v005f.0 Build 170628 Rel.55680n

FYI that direct calls between users in Microsoft Teams causes the WAN port on the 3150 to hang and not route any traffic through.  LAN access still works.

Calls in meetings work fine.  I don't know what the packet differences are between direct calls and meetings calls are but something happens wih direct user to user calls that causes the WAN port to freeze.  Only fix is to reboot the router and all is fine again.

Support was of no help.

Since it looks like Skype may be moving to Teams just wanted to give ya'll a heads up on this issue.

Maybe it's just me...

@bitva77

Thank you for the information.

There is a newer firmware build avaialble for your Archer C3150 V2, build 170926. Would it be possible to update the firmware and see if you experience the same issue?

@Tony

Is there a solution?  I have the same problem and my firmware is up to date.

Thanks!

@JPPoulin

Yeah, I gave the router away and instead bought a Netgear R7800.

Actually installed OpenWRT and am running a WDS with that as the primary, an older Netgear 6100 and a TPLINK Archer C7 as clients and have no real issues (minus some 802.11r client side stuff).

Teams meetings are smooth no matter where I am.

It's a shame that TP-Links support is such crap as the C3150 was a great router.  It had the best range out of everything.  My WDS with 3 routers is what I need to get the same coverage that the C3150 was giving me.  But at least routing works now and doesn't Denial of Service itself because of a SIP protocol (or whatever Teams uses these days).

OpenWRT support via forums is better than TP-Link.

Real shame.
