Made Archer c2300 wireless access point and now can't login
I was logging into my archer ac2300 just fine, then I set it up as a wireless access point and can't login anymore. Everything is working fine, I just can't login. I have connected my ethernet cable from my computer to the WAN port of the router with no luck. Please point me in the right direction so I can log into it. Also tried a LAN port and still no luck. Should I be able to connect to it thru wireless ? I know all the routers I've had in the past wouldn't let you do that.
Thanks for everyones' help, greatly appreciated

When setting up the Archer C2300 as a AP you would connect the C2300s WAN to a router LAN port that is providing a internet connection. Here is a FAQ that talk about it: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2066/
If your wireless router is the Archer C2300 leave it in router mode. Perform a factory default on the router by holding the reset button for 15 seconds. Connect your computer back to one of the LAN ports, and the WAN back to the modem. You will then be able to log back into the router like you used to.

I have it set up just like the faq says right now. If you say just leave it in router mode instead of access mode I'll do that. Basically I'm running this router from a cable modem just to use the wireless on the C2300.

In that case the IP of the Archer C2300 changed. Log into your main router, and look at the connected clients, you will see what IP the TP-Link router now has, and that is what you will use to log into the C2300.
So for example if the C2300 is now 192.168.1.150
You would connect to either the main router or the C2300 and in your web browser put: http://192.168.1.150
You can also try to use: http://tplinkwifi.net but the IP tends to work more.

Old thread I know.. but just for clarification, Tony.. you are saying that with the AC2300 .."If your wireless router is the Archer C2300 leave it in router mode".. you mean that you don't need to use the access point mode? Assume just leave in router mode but disable DHCP and give it a static IP from upstream router?
Or does access point mode do more setting changes that are required? NAT changes?
Like OP, I can find the IP it gets when in AP mode,.... so can get to admin site, but the android app doesn't work anymore.
Basically the FAQ link you give explains how to use AP mode, but then you seem to be saying its not worth using that if you are c2300?
Thanks
