Would also love VPN support network-wide. Quite a few devices (Chromecast, etc.) do not support device VPN so this is imperative. Any ETA?

Hello, I just updated the new firmware hoping for the vpn server. Will this feature be available any time soon?

@Tony it's been almost a year  since this comment...

Tony wrote

@JO9 The VPN Server feature will be added to Deco devices just like our routers in a future update. Unfortunatley, at this time there is not a exact date yet.

I wonder if there is a technical concern for not having a VPN server functionality for M9 (e.g ram size, cpu pollwer, etc) I wish TP- link could be more proactive.

@JO9  Too bad that they still don't, and I suspect that they never will, offer easy VPN set-up on this device.

@Tony  you told us like a year ago, that the VPN will be added to the deco. But it's still not there... Can you please tell me when it's going to happen?

@DannyS Since pricing is dropping like a rock on M9's all over (Costco 3-pack for $199, Walmart 2-Pack for $179, best buy was $199 but now back up to $249) something seems to tell me these have been or will soon be discontinued for a new "higher end" model (just guessing, no real knowledge) but when prices suddenly drop almost in half all over the place it is kind of a hint.  Just ordered a 3-Pack from Costco for the same price I paid for a 2-pack last week at Best Buy.  That one will be returned.  Usually less updates occur when something is EOL.  Hopefully they will get the same features as the M5 (1.31) has before being abandoned.

I honestly think that there will be no vpn server support. If you didn't buy it yet, don't do this. I will have to move to another mesh system to have it back again. My previous low cost router had this feature, my new super-mesh-system doesn't.

@GuilhermeBraz

Unfortunately I have this system. I ended up adding my old Linksys router with the vpn server support back to my network, and forwarded the vpn ports to that. Tp-link has given up on adding additional functionality to this system, it is a disappointment as Orbi series have all these built in.
