Auto reboot watchdog configuration granularity in TL-MR3420 3G/4G LTE Wireless N router
Hi,
I was using the 4G/4G LTE router TL-MR3420 v5 running latest firmware 1.4.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 180712 Rel.61343n with Huawei e3372 4G LTE modem and Reliance Jio 4G LTE SIM in India. The modem is compatible and was very easy to setup. And the router is generally excellent given the price and the tons of features (watchdog, WAN backup, Guest network, rate control on guests, etc) that seem to be supported aand generally not found in the price band.
However one *stability problem is observed.
(1) Occasional Connection drops leading to router getting stuck in WAN side. Has to be manually restarted to recover the WAN link
(2) The Router auto restart schedule is of 3 frequency 3 day, 1 week and 1 month. No 1 day or N hour setting (we can enter N as any integral value), which I thought could be useful given the situation in (1).
Given that router supports this time based maintenance watchdog, a more granular configuration option may be simple to implement (something similar to DD-WRT). Can we expect such flexibility in a future firmware upgrade ?
