Dynamic DNS Configuration
I have a TP LInk TD W8980 DSL wireless modem/router. I set up No Ip on the routerand for a while it worked perfectly. Now it no longer sends an automatic update to No Ip.
Anyone having a similar problem or a suggested solution?

@Fishbreath1 We are currently looking into this on our end to see if we are able to replicate this. I will let you know as soon as we get new info on this. If other users may be able to test that would be a great help as well.

@Fishbreath1 It seems that there was a update to No-IP, and now the Hostname Type would need to be changed.
Log into your No-IP account, and change the Hostname Type to either "Port 80 Redirect" or "Web Redirect". By default the type is set to "DNS Hostname (A)".

@Fishbreath1 You should not need to do any port forwarding. Once the hostname type has been changed to either of the two choices mentioned, the IP address should start to be updated correctly. When you ping the address might come up different, but you should still be relayed to the correct address.

@Fishbreath1 From what you described, are you getting the same if you select the second option "Web redirect"?
When you initially mentioned port 8080, if your security cameras are using that, then that would need to be forwarded. The DDNS URL would take you initially to the router, but to use other ports would then be different.
