Can you set a static IP for a PS4 on the CR700?
So as a gamer I occasionally play some fighting games on my PS4 and I recently have made the desicion to hardline it. Of course it came with the issues of NAT type 3 and so on, and since then I have been successful in changing the NAT type to 2, but that required me to port forward a couple of ports and assign a static IP to my PS4 consol side, the issue is that my Archer CR700 has a dynamic DHCP and the the PS4 will probably change the IP, and as such there is no problem going and changing a few numbers here and there every now and then, however I can see it getting to be a bit of an annoyance in the future, and I do not see any option in giving my PS4 a static IP on my routers side. So my question is without adjusting the range on the DHCP which is set from 10 to 254, and without using DMZ, is there a way to either set a static IP to my PS4 in the router, or reserve the IP address it currently has?
If there is no possible way I would love some instructions in setting up my router so that it can be a 1 and done type thing where can I can set it up and not have to worry about any security issues or my PS4 reverting back to NAT type 3 when the DHCP up and decides to change the IP on it.
