I believe the preset color temperatures are not correctly calibrated. Going past 4000K immediately turns to cooler shades where 6500K should be white and everything below that should be warm. It’s impossible to get a pure white or even close without being too cool or too warm. I would also like an option to input rgb or hex values when choosing a color to better select the exact color you want.

Thanks for contacting us.  I have a few questions we would need to answer in order to give you the best response. 

 

1.  What is the product model and verison number

2.  What firmware is the product on.

3.  Are you using any voice assistant, if so which

4.  Are the issues you experiancing happening with in the Kasa Smart app, on the Voice assistant or both?

5.  What Device are you using with the product app?  IOS or Android?

6.  Are you able to try the other type of device to see if the issue is replicated

7.  Finally,  What version of the app are you running?

6. Yes, the issue is with what the bulb thinks is a certain color temperature is incorrect

Please update to the newest version of the Kasa App just released today.  Make sure no firmware updates exist for the bulb and retest.  If it still fails please use this FAQ to create a an account on our warranty portal.  From there we will help you register the product and approve a replacement should it still be under warranty.
