I was wondering if I can buy 1 of the new M9 deco to run with my 3 M5. I would connect the M9 to the router this would be an easy way get the home automation setup.

We can get M9 and M5 work together.
I consulted the same question before with tp support.

M9 as Main Deco doesn't join M5

Recently I purchased M9 plus. Initially I joined 1 M9 to my network and it was ok. I tried deleting my network and adding all the Decos again. To my surprise I can't join the M5s. I have a router modem setup at home and just use the Decos as my AP. Is this a firmware issue?

I recently purchased M9 plus. I tried adding one of them to my existing M5 mess without issue. I decided to switch the M9 as my main deco unit so I decided to delete my network. I decided to add my Decos. To my surprise I cannot add my M5s as it won't allow me. I have an existing router-modem setup at home and just use the Deco's as APs. Is this a firmware issue?
