I'm testing the new release from the official page and so far the router is working fine.

Today my router crashed with the lastest release, maybe I will go back to beta version,.

1) C1200 v1 with this firmware is pretty stable, no random reboots.
2) However, IPv6 is still a little quirky. I noticed after a couple of hours, no IPv6 incoming or outgoing connections could be made even though IPv6 PPPOE was still connected.
3) I used to be able to get about 5-10% faster speeds with my previous wireless router on 2.4Ghz.
4) The iOS Tether app is unable to discover the router.

Shall continue monitoring.

Is that your IPv6 function works before?

Yes, IPv6 was working but after a few hours IPv6 stopped working.
Note: IPv4 is ok all the time.

My Archer C1200 IPv6 works fine. with beta 11 or the official firmware.
It seems this problem caused by your router firmware. Is that your old firmware does not have the IPv6 issue?

I was having IPv6 problems with the old firmware as well.

Right now, I'm using the beta firmware ( 1.1.1 Build 20180101 rel.66049 (EU)) with IPv6 disabled. I'm evaluating how long the router with the beta firmware can sustain my current connection and if there is any reduction in throughput.

Maybe you can try to downgrade your old firmware. And test again.
If the old firmware works well on IPV6, you would better contact tplink support .

Hi All,

Following initial research and investigation, our Engineering Team is confident that they've determined one of the key origins of the issue. From what we have gathered so far, the issue appears to be related to some recent releases of Android OS and Google Apps. This issue stems from these devices' "Cast" feature, which sends MDNS multicast discovery packets in order to keep a live connection with Google products such as Google Home. These packets normally sent in a 20-second interval. However, we have discovered that the devices will sometimes broadcast a large amount of these packets at a very high speed in a short amount of time. This occurs when the device is awakened from the "sleep mode", and could exceed more than 100,000 packets in a short amount of time. The longer your device is in "sleep", the larger this packet burst will be. This issue may eventually cause some of router’s primary features to shut down – including wireless connectivity.

Has this been reported to Google? I can imagine this will affect other routers as well.
