Model: EAP225-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 5.0.8 Build 20220613 Rel. 51936(5553)

I recently purchase this AP to extend my network, beyond my pole barn.  It was easy to add to my network and setup, but  I am having some interesting issues with it.

I just received the EAP225-outdoor V3 yesterday and got it set up late last night. Today I began testing it.  I started with my phone. I wanted to test speeds and distances.

The problem I am running into is that whenever I put a load on the AP after connecting to it, it is just disconnecting and saying it has the wrong WiFi password. 5Ghz if I am standing within 10 feet works, but anything beyond that is failing when trying to use it. 2.4GHz just fails when trying to use Ookla speedtest app to test speeds I even tried running some videos on the internet and they too will disconnect and say that the wrong password is being used for the WiFi.  It isn't the wrong one, because it wouldn't have been able to connect, to begin with, if it was.

I am running a 300ft (<100meters) Cat 6 Cable, back to the pole barn router with the POE injector that came with the EAP225-outdoor.  I thought maybe it was because the phone was borderline weak Cellular signal, and switching to the Cellular network.  I disabled Cellular on the phone and I have tried an iPad with no Cellular connectivity at all, and the same results, though the iPad has a considerably longer distance that it picks up the AP's signal.

Not sure what is going on here and why it disconnects as soon as a load is placed on the AP.  If I can't get it to work, I'll have to send it back and try another solution.

  @Blmontne

Try disable the SSID security and check if you can connect it.

The iPhone/iPad error message are not useful. Even through there is no IP obtained, they will still show "error password". I think the main issue could be on the connectivity between EAP and your main network.

Also you need to make sure the two antennas have been screwed in tightly.
