When there is an omada adopted Easy-Managed switch (eg, ES205G) anywhere on the network, you cannot edit an IP group used in any switch ACL without first disabling that ACL, and re-enabling it after editing the IP group as desired.  Error message "Some switches did not respond" will be displayed and changes to the ip-group not saved otherwise.

The controller should not be trying to push ACLs to switches that are not capable of them

 

Without an ES switch on the network, you can freely edit an IP Group used in a switch rule while the rule is still active, without error.

 

Same issue with editing IP-Port groups too.
