  @Clive_A

1.30.8 popped up on the Controller firmware page for my SG3428X last night (in early access), so applied it.

Might be worth adding in the changelog that MSTP has also been added, i dont see this noted anywhere

So far no problems with this firmware on the one switch i have applied it on

  @Clive_A

On Mar 15 I upgraded my SG3428X v1.30 switch to the latest Beta FW. 1.30.8 Build 20250307 Rel.72795. Since then I have been getting DDM status alert warnings:

The voltage of the SFP module on ......... 's port Te1/0/28 is higher than warning point.

Before that upgrade I had no such logs. I was on 1.30.4 Build 20250121 FW version.
Shall I ignore them?

Thanks.

Module model number. And hardware version if you are using a TP-Link module.

Are you using it in controller mode or normal mode?

Can you make sure that your previous log are stored and double-checked that there are no logs about DDM?

Hi  @Clive_A

1. Module model number: TL-SM5310-T

2. I am using it in Controller Mode (via OC300)

3.  HW ver.: 1

4. I have made sure there were no logs of this type prior to the upgrade

I have two modules of the same type. I am getting logs on both of them. Even when I unplugged patch cable (connecting the switch to my AP) I am still getting the warning logs on the module.

HW Controller: OC300 1.0 Router: ER707-M2 v1.0 Switch: SG3428X v1.30 APs: EAP650(EU) v1.0, EAP683 UR(EU) v1.0

Expected behavior. New firmware has adapted to the new controller and now the log records and displays this information.

It should be there all the time. Before the upgrade, it had this information but was not displayed on the controller log.

  @Clive_A

I forgot to post some feedback on here

Although unlisted in this post, i applied the beta firmware available through the controller to the following switches 2 weeks ago

SG3428X v1.3

SG2428LP v1

SG3210 v3.2

SG2218P v2

SG2008P v3.2

I havent had any issues at all.

Would be nice to get a matching one for my SG3452 as well, but that one always seems to be the last to get any updates for whatever reason!

This was actually redacted. I was gonna post about 30 models, but the US team rejected such a public test.

They simply denied the dev's proposal to send more pre-release to the file server and do a public test.

They say it is not proper and too dangerous to do it. I don't know why they would not allow that since we did this on the forum last time and why it is dangerous or improper. They seem not to bother themselves with uploading around 30 files to the server. As this requires manual evaluation and time.

Our privilege to upload a firmware was removed by them. Not sure why, but it's gonna be hard to do the job.

SG3452 is not compiled in this test.

Are you no longer allowed to post beta firmware for anything? or just this batch for the switches?

Batch. Not gonna do a pre-release or beta for 10 or above. Just a small number of models will have the pre-release or beta. They decide which models to release.
