Model: ER8411
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Currently when you are setting up a IPSEC VPN Tunnel you are only allowed to insert 5 remote subnets.  This seems to just be a UI limitation and not an actual limitation since if you have 10 local LAN's and just pick Site-Site Auto it will have no problem building this tunnel.

A better option would really just to be able to create an IP-Group and add that to the Manual IPSEC Subnet section.

The use case for this is to pass subnets over the VPN Tunnel which do not actually exist on the router but exist beyond it.  For example if the ER8411 at the primary site is then connected to to another switch and beyond the switch there may be a VPN Router which is connected to Azure.  In our situation we have multiple VPN routers which are connected to an additional switch and all of the routing is handled via that switch.  So we would add the VPN Router IP's to the tunnel to allow it to pass and then create static routes in the primary site to route all of the traffic tot he switches.

Any further questions please let me know, I hope I explained that well.

Thanks

Thank you for your feedback and post. We have forwarded your request to our developer team for evaluation.

Please note that all requests undergo a thorough evaluation by our developer team before being added to the roadmap. This process may take some time, so please be patient if you don't see immediate results. Features with lower priority or fewer user reports might experience delays in implementation as we gather more feedback and compare it with competitor products.

It is important to understand that submitting a request does not guarantee its implementation; only requests that pass the evaluation will be considered for inclusion in future updates.
